"Since for the great desire I had to see fair Padua, nursery of arts, I am arriv’d (...) And am to Padua come, as he that leaves a shallow plash to plunge him in the deep, and with satiety seeks to quench his thirst." W. Shakespeare, The Taming of the Shrew
In the UNESCO World Heritage since 1994, Vicenza has magnificent architecture signed by Andrea Palladio. His architectural genius left its clearest sign here and thanks to him today we can admire buildings of incomparable elegance.
Because of their beauty and uniqueness, the Dolomites have been a UNESCO World Natural Heritage site since June 26, 2009. “Their peaks, spectacularly vertical and pale, feature a variety of sculptural forms that are extraordinary in the world context. These mountains also possess a set of values of international importance for the Earth sciences”. UNESCO declaration of Seville of 2009.
